1. Reading Skills (Comprehension)

Read the passage given below and answer the following questions.

In a small village in India, there lived a clever and resourceful rabbit named Chatur. One day, a fierce lion named Sheru came to the village, declaring himself the king of the jungle. He demanded that the villagers send him one animal each day as food. The villagers were terrified and felt helpless against the mighty lion.

Chatur, however, was not afraid. He devised a plan to save his friends. The next day, when it was his turn to be sent to Sheru, he approached the lion with confidence. "Oh great Sheru," he said, "I have come to offer myself as your meal, but I must tell you that I am not afraid of you. I am much smarter than you think."

Intrigued, Sheru asked Chatur what he meant. The rabbit explained that he had encountered another lion who claimed to be stronger than Sheru and wanted to challenge him. Curious and prideful, Sheru insisted on meeting this rival.

Chatur led Sheru to a deep well and pointed inside. "There he is! Look at him!" he exclaimed. When Sheru looked into the well, he saw his own reflection and roared in anger.
